Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ReadyTag ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the ReadyTag Chrome Extension.
1. Data Collection and Storage
ReadyTag is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our own servers.
- API Keys: Any API keys you enter (e.g., Groq, Google Gemini, OpenAI, etc.) are encrypted and stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage (`chrome.storage.local`). They are never transmitted to us or any third party other than the specific AI provider you configure.
- Image Data: When you use the Vision feature to describe an image, the image data is temporarily sent directly to the AI provider you have selected via our Cloudflare Worker proxy. We do not store or log your images.
- Generated Metadata: The titles and keywords generated by the extension are processed locally within your browser and saved directly to the stock photography platforms you are working on.
2. Third-Party Services
To function, ReadyTag communicates with third-party AI APIs based on your configuration. When you use the extension, your prompts, image data (if using Vision), and API keys are securely transmitted to the respective providers:
- Google Gemini (Google LLC)
- Anthropic (Anthropic PBC)
- OpenAI (OpenAI OpCo, LLC)
- Groq, xAI, OpenRouter, Mistral, Zhipu AI, NVIDIA, DeepSeek, etc.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the AI providers you choose to use with ReadyTag.
3. Cloudflare Worker Proxy
To securely handle cross-origin requests (CORS) between your browser and the AI APIs without exposing sensitive endpoints, ReadyTag routes API calls through a lightweight Cloudflare Worker. This proxy acts as a transparent passthrough. No data, prompts, images, or API keys are logged, stored, or retained by this proxy.
4. Analytics and Telemetry
ReadyTag does not include any hidden tracking, analytics (such as Google Analytics), or telemetry scripts. We do not track your browsing behavior, usage habits, or the assets you upload.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
